ASSISTANT PARISH PASTOR - MINISTER OF RELIGION
The duties of the post include:
- Planning of Church Programs and Activities
- Coordination of Departmental Heads and Units of the Church
- Regular Preaching and Teaching in Church Services
- Leading the Church’s Evangelism programs and missionary outreaches
- All other functions as assigned by the Parish Pastor of the Church
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required for Assistant Parish Pastor (Minister of Religion)
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, a degree in theology would be an added advantage
- A minimum of 2 years of experience or volunteer work in a church is needed
- Must be Fluent in English (Required); a knowledge of at least one African
Languages will be an added advantage
- Must be a faithful Christian and be able to uphold basic Christian doctrines.
- He/she should be able to work with diverse members of the congregation.
Guaranteed salary for the Assistant Parish Pastor (Minister of Religion): £27,000pa
Basic Working Hours is 37.5 hours per week
2. YOUTH MINISTER – MINISTER OF RELIGION
The duties of the post include:
- Preaching, teaching, and leading worship as a youth minister
- Planning and executing the programs for the youth ministry of the church
- Devising, establishing, developing, and overseeing a mentoring program and meetings with young people to provide support, study the bible, and pray.
- Identifying and developing the gifts and talents of young people and volunteers, and encouraging active participation in church life, including youth-led services.
- To provide Pastoral Care for the Youths
- Other duties as assigned by the Parish Pastor.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience with youths in a church setting (Required)
- Minimum of a secondary school certificate but a degree would be an added advantage
- Commitment to the church’s vision and leadership.
- Experience in leading youth and young people as well as organising relevant activities for Youths.
- Awareness of youth and culture and issues facing young people.
- The ability to be empathetic and build trusting relationships with young people
- Strong Counselling Skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
Guaranteed salary for Youth Minister: £25,000pa
Basic Working Hours is 37.5 hours per week
3. MUSIC DIRECTOR - RELIGIOUS WORKER
The duties of the post include:
- Planning of Church Programs and Activities focusing on Music and Worship
- Coordination of the Music, Choir, and Worship Units of the church
- Leading the Church’s Music and Worship programs
- Coordinate weekly rehearsals of the choir and instrumentalists.
- Organising worship and music concerts for the church
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required for Music Director
- The post occupier must hold a minimum of Secondary School education.
- A strong personal Christian faith.
- A good knowledge of Church Music and Afro-Christian Songs
- Knowledge of at least 2 musical instruments
- Ability to teach some musical instruments
- An ability to work within and maintain professional boundaries when working with people.
- Understanding and knowledge of confidentiality and safeguarding issues.
- A commitment and ability to work with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
Guaranteed salary for Youth Minister: £24,000pa
Basic Working Hours is 37.5 hours per week
